Oct 18th, 2026 - FVRU holds first Safe Tackle Clinic at the Langley Dome

This past Friday, the FVRU became the first region in BC to put their club coaches through the Rugby Canada Safe Tackle Clinic presented by World Rugby educator Jonathon Long.  This was the first of 3 sessions planned throughout the season with a view to getting as many coaches through the clinic as possible and allowing them access to some vital information and practical and technical skills to help reduce injuries in the game.

The evening also served as an opportunity for the FVRU to roll out their new mentoring program, which will further increase the knowledge and confidence of FVRU club-based coaches.
